It’s just like weed is to stronger drugs a gateway. You get a taste of rpg mechanics but it’s not truly an RPG

it’s more of a action adventure game with life rpg elements

The closest thing to a real true rpg game ever made was Daggerfall the second elder scrolls game

That was a game with a world the size of England where you’d take irl months to cross all of it and roleplaying mechanics are so deep that in a way it’s not even worth playing if u have any resemblance of a life

Since the deep mechanics will make you have to actually be ur character in every way
