All I can say about the Ukraine(NATO)-Russia war is: Mirin' slavs. Both sides.

It's insane what slavs can put up with.
The terrible conditions, everyday fear of sudden-death, starvation/cold, lack of medical-care and overall equipment, the casualty-numbers, the lack of support/medical-extraction, terrible logistics, total lack of air-support, everything.

Slavs are a different breed. Fighting-machines. Slavs need more respect.

I simply don't believe that a NATO-nation army would be capable of such a thing in this capacity in the current day and age.
What was the last 'hard fight' a NATO-country had? Vietnam? Korea? Only wars that come to my mind that were somewhat difficult, but not even close to the same level.

Those are the last wars where a NATO-country had significant casualties/damage. Korea/Vietnam. And they completely pale in comparison what is going on in Ukraine right now. Like it is not even close whatsoever.

Could the USA manage a Vietnam 2.0 with a way higher number of casualties, way higher attrition, for a longer period of time?
I doubt it.
