Sleep isn’t just about getting 8 hours sleep: what happens when you sleep more (and why it isn’t always better)

In the stillness of the night, the body not only rests, but also regenerates from within.
Sleeping for more than 9 hours at a stretch may seem like a luxury, but if it becomes a habit for no apparent reason, it is usually a sign of accumulated fatigue or an underlying imbalance. It is not a virtue to rack up the hours; it is about listening to what the body needs without overtaxing it.

The science is clear: between 7 and 9 hours is the optimal amount of sleep for most healthy adults.
Sleeping more than 9 or 10 hours on a regular basis is associated with mild inflammation, reduced mental clarity the following day and even a higher long-term metabolic risk.
This is not divine punishment, but rather biology telling us that ‘something isn’t quite right’.

It’s not compulsory overtime that improves your appearance and gives you that glow, but the quality of your sleep: full cycles, uninterrupted, and at regular times. Getting 7.5 hours of deep, restorative sleep is better than 10 fragmented hours with your phone ringing in the middle of the night.
What really matters is consistency, not just quantity

optimally bedtime around 21-22 is also a good way for high release window for teens, although there will not be significant amounts of additional hgh, if your goal is to maximise your height growth during adolescent it is very much recommended to sleep at 9-10pm as it is a sweet spot for high release, either way just make sure you can attain the first 4 hours of your sleep uninterrupted.

water but, your body does not release hgh in every given time during deep sleep, the peak window is around 9-10pm and if you slept after 1-2am and wakes up at 11, you get 9 hours of REM😴 meaning all your body did was dream

yeah not always more is better
