A friend of mine has a soccer team here in my city. It's the top soccer team for the city, but it's not very popular region-wide.

I could join the team as a match analyst or in some other position.

Would it be a good social circle or an opportunity to meet good people? I ask because it seems to be very socially active, but not necessarily a good environment for finding high-quality individuals.

What do you think? What position is best to get into those small-town sports associations?

Yes sports are good to know people and form social circles

Most people I know are people I met while playing football
