Too many cope with "smilepill" when smiling makes any guy look immediately less threatening. Smiling is also manipulative, mirror neurons and all. Niggas smile at you so you smile back at them, it's all a game of manipulation and domineering socially, many just don't understand how deep the social game goes. The truth is smiling's FALSE; it ain't what you think on the surface level, it's often a GAME/EDGE/TACTIC
People smile to try and make you TRUST them and CONFIDE within them, it's literally a wired social strategy many NPCs/normies aren't even aware of. By smiling a nigga is basically saying, "I trust you to trust me, do you understand this unwritten rule?" It's like a fucker tryna make you his bitch without even words. He is making you subconsciously confide in him in a way, it's not pure "niceness" it's thuggery.
it's not just "friendly" it's literally cucked and manipulative, people fake smile or just naturally smile as a way to assess trust or instill your trust and confidence in them. I imagine guys either smile for TWO reasons: 1. so you trust them/a way to assess your trust/threat to them; 2.they're soy betas using fear grimace. So if a guy isn't using smiling as a way to look beta-ish/friendly then he's using it because he's trying to MANIPULATE YOU, or he's doing both.
