So I'm nw2 and I went to a dermatologist for my hair loss and acne, at first he didn't ask me any questions, directly looked at my scalp and prescribed me some shampoo called Anaphase, when i told him I'm using nizoral he said it's not good, lol.

Then he prescribed me something called 'Alpicort f' and told me to use it on my scalp for a month and come back, but i have never heard of it and i can't even find much info about it online. Does anyone know if it helps?

Then I asked him about finasteride and he said it's not good either. 😃

About the acne, I told him I'm using retin-a and he still tried to prescribe me some other shit but I told him I'll just keep using retin a.

And the most disappointing thing of it all was that the doctor couldn't speak clearly, he was not just stuttering but he couldn't even pronounce words properly.

What should I do bros? Go to another doctor and ask for fin or trust this one and try the stuff he prescribed me?

dude why did you pay to even go there, I would ask for a refund since you literally got scammed.

Go on finasteride (dutasteride would be even better), and thats it, thats all there is to hairloss prevention for the most part

Hes probs hesitant about fin because of the risk of depression. Its definitely a risk, but a small one- still nobody talks about it here. If you’re keen you can get an online prescription by “forhims”

Ok, I'll visit another dermatologist and ask for fin.
Or can even my GP prescribe me it?
But if i get side effects on fin then I'll get minoxidil, how does that sound?
And along with that I use nizoral 1-2x week and a dermaroller once a week followed by castor and coconut oil.
I'm a bit scared about fin cuz I'm only 18 y/o (19 next month), and by lowering my dht levels at such young age the chance for sides is prob bigger, maybe I'll try like 0.5g per day

don't go to other doctors, they don't want you to ascend.
just buy finasteride and retin-A online

just buy finasteride and retin-A illegally
This. My derm didn't even want to give me retin-A. I order everything online myself now, doctors are useless tbh.

I ordered retin a online too cuz we don't even have it in my country 😃

fuck that guy he scammed you bro, ask for a refund, go to a new doctor. that doctor is definitely low iq

bro
no good news
if you own a functional brain, it's usually better to ignore doctors as they tend to not learn shit after college
maybe they didn't learn shit when were in college too JFL

A good doctor is a treasure indeed

shouldn't he go for PRP or minoxidil before fin??

Use minoxidil & stemoxydine to keep your hair on life support until you finish puberty then start fin.

I would, after reading papimews thread on collagen and minoxidil I would definitely recommend it first

So much controversial information. I'm not sure what to do.

First question you need answered is - are there any hair loss specialists/trichologists in your area and can you afford a consultation with one?

I don't think there are any hair loss specialists, just dermatologists

This sucks, because the only way to find out whether you have active minaturization gooing on across your scalp is to get checked under a microscope by a hair specialist and justify starting finasteride. Imo you are still to young to go directly to systemic DHT suppression, but the good thing is that you have the option of trying topical anti-androgens like Fluridil (Eucapil) and RU58841. In the case of the first one, the one and only study shows no systemic effects on DHT, so it might be a safe bet.

Other than that, Nizoral has some anti-androgen action as well and you could always supplement Zinc and other "natural" 5AR inhibitors such as saw palmetto, bita sitosterols (coconut oil), stinging nettle root etc. Ofc there is minox, but imo its not the most practical drug.

@x30001 shared with me information you'd given him about glucosamine.

Did he ever mention anything to you about biotinyl-GHK? GHK-Cu is widely known to function similarly to minoxidil for hair regrowth, alongside thickening hair and having a positive rather than negative influence on collagen. He alluded to biotinyl-GHK being a more effect variant of GHK-Cu for hair specifically, but never went into great detail. The limited information I've found about it myself reports a 121% increase in hair growth and ~70% greater efficacy than minoxidil.

lol he dosent want you to take those poisons, he wants you to take his

Unfortunately I have never discussed GHK-Cu/Biotinyl-GHK with him.

Thanks for the derailed comment. However I don't think I can get fluridil or ru58841, we don't have them here and to order online it'd be way too expensive :/
And yeah nizoral reduced my hair loss to some extent but it's not enough, what if i use minox for a year and then when I'm 20 I'll hop on fin?

What's dangerous about minoxidil?
A lot more dangerous game to me would be being bald in my early 20s 🤣
Some users here report extremely bad effects on skin

Yeah that's what I'm concerned about too, lots of people here say minox surpresses collagen even tho I think there are no studies done on humans confirming that. Even if it's true I doubt that using it just on the hair temples will be that bad for the skin and I'll just use retin-a to counteract it.
