English is not my native language and I don't know if it really explains whether or not elastic bands are bad
 
Rubber bands are for faggots. I use metal springs.

mine is fking averagish. need wideness but it's genetic too, from what i've see, maxila stop growing at 10 yo so

I don't deny mewing. I agree that it can't hurt you to try, but some people on here are delusional as hell when it comes to mewing.

Could you explain a little more in depth? In a class 2 elastic pulls your upper maxillary bone down or only affects the movement of the teeth, in this case the canines?
