Different people get to be happy in many different ways, but what does being "happy" even mean?.

You are happy when you are eating something, when you are listening to music, playing videogames or sports, etc. But that is instant gratification, quick happiness, its not deep, but that doesn't mean its bad. It's actually necessary, because what matters is what makes you feel good, but you should consider both short and long term.

My point is, you could do the bare minimum and cope with all those things I mentioned, get a girl that's close to a looksmatch to you and be "happy". But at the end of the day you know you are doing the least you can, you know you COULD be in a better position and yet you decide not to and choose to be happy living like that.

If you can live happy conforming with that, are you having real happiness or is it just a facade?

I'm at a point in my life where I don't know what would make me happy. I could wageslave for years while I'm at University to get a few surgeries, which isn't bad as a concept maybe, but if you are dedicating your life to something like that, can you be even happy?

The thing is, if I don't do that I WILL think sometimes about the different path I could've taken, even if I feel like I'm "happy". Because how can I know which happiness is more valuable, the one where I kind of settle with my state, or the one where I have to stop living like others to get more things done.

This is something I've been thinking lately, it's really weird. I think the thoughts you have when you are sad are the real ones, no copes.

TLDR: Can you be happy if you know you could be in a better position by dedicating your life to it? Or at one point you should accept your state and live with it.

If you want a doomer answer happiness is probably an evolutionary trait to get people or any animal do keep doing things to keep the species alive and healthy. i.e. food makes you happy so you eat more food, playing sports makes people happy because it fulfills the caveman instinct of hunting with the bros and having fun.

If you want to figure out how to truly become happy on a deep level, look into what worked for cavemen, since humans evolved to live the hunter gatherer life and our evolution hasn't gotten close to catching up with everything that's come after so far. There are reasons it's recommended to go on walks, meet new people, exercise, and build a community around yourself.

The thoughts you have when you're excited or happy are real too, pessimists have a habit of thinking they're just realists because bad things happened so they expect it to keep happening and throw themselves in a loop subconciously trying to confirm it to be true. In a way they're proven right and that only leads people to spiral even further. Optimists are optimists usually because they live fairly happy lives and so have no reason to expect bad things to happen to them out of nowhere, they will also sunbconciously look to confirm tand their positive mindsets will get rewarded.

Depends on who you are as a person, plenty people are happy with a decent social circle, decent job, decent everything. but you're on .org and what you described as your current state doesn't sound like it will do much for you. Go the extra mile, go to university and not just slave away but join whatever clubs even slightly intrigue you. Force yourself to become something more and work on.

myb if I rambled alot, I hope you get my point

Thank you so much I love when people give long answers.

I mean I know I could be happier if I don't dedicate my whole life to this, but at the end I'm still going to hate the fact that I can't live the life I want due to my appearance.

I want to know what would you do, just for curiosity.

Would you "waste" like 3-5 years of your life to get surgery?

what would make me happy is having slaves, not having to work, doing a lot of drugs, dying early, and the people i live with being pansexual, naked, free use, having orgies constantly, incest, and any other sexual transgression you could imagine

No joke that wouldn't be bad.

I think depression is a normal symptom of modern society, we were not supposed to live working a 9-5 until old

No, looks aren't my worst problem so I don't see a point in dedicating a chunk of my life to improving my looks. You should also think about what you'll even do once you go down that path: bluepill, redpill and blackpill are all all truths in their own ways. Of course depending on where you look one can be more true than others i.e. Tinder for blackpill, Discord for bluepill where you can literally pull bitches online with only your voice and text, geomaxxing in my opinion is more a product of the Redpill than the blackpill. People from poorer countries will prefer to date people from richer countries more for the financial stability than anything, race wouldn't change much about it. You can argue that it's a moneypill or some shit but it is what it is.

myb if I went on a tangent, but if you really dedicate your life to getting some surgery before anything else you might miss out on some social development, falling behind on which would mean you wouldn't be able to cash in on the glow up as much as you'd think. Surgery would def make things easier but shouldn't be number 1

Dude I had the worst fucking day ever thinking about this, honestly I cried all day.

I don't know what to do man, life is so meaningless and superficial.

I've been thinking how nothing really matters, but I still want to be treated well and have sex and gf and stuff, so I'm really conflicted and don't know how to take this.

People who would date me then woukd just because of my appearance, and people who would date me now is because I'm not subhuman.

How can I live happy again knowing everything is meaningless.
