I saw an old friend for the first time in nearly 5 years. So before the pandemic. Back when we used to hang out, I was 74.4kg (5'6" 164 lbs) at 167cm July 21 2019 the first time we met. Medically obese for sure (even though BMI showed that I was just overweight), an infamous fat basement dwelling PSL rotter. I never changed the McFlurry avatar. If not pre-diabetic or Type II diabetic already and typically hovered around that weight for most of my adult life. And sedentary. Now I'm down to 63.7-65.25kg (depending on how much carbs, salt, food I had the day before) and been lifting for nearly 23 months (training suboptimally for most of that time tbh. lol). He takes one look at me and he's like "what the hell, you lost weight and you're jacked." And he asked for my forearm routine. lmfao. I showed him the cable hammer curls and cable reverse wrist curls that I do (you can do them with dumbbells too. I tried with my resistance bands at home once. Not sure how effective those are). And I'm pretty confident most people in bodybuilding social media would say that I'm still skinnyfat. lmfao. I'm not big (even for a turbo manlet) nor am I lean yet.
Visually, losing 10kg+ of body fat and building muscle mass on top of that is going to look dramatic to normies. Being leaner and having vascularity, like bicep and forearm veins, gives you the illusion of looking bigger. Even though you're actually smaller. He told me that he was impressed with how I looked definition wise and vascularity wise cold with no pump. I rest on the weekends and train M, Tu, Th, F.
Don't fall for the mainstream bulking advice you see on the internet. 500 calorie surplus is way too much. 300 calorie surplus, even 200 calorie surplus I still think is too much. If you're a turbo manlet, your calorie surplus should be like 82-92. That is enough to build muscle mass without getting fat. And if you're taller, you can scale that up even more. For a 167cm turbo manlet like me, 75kg 10% bf is the natty peak (25 FFMI). Right now with my stats at 65.25kg, 14.4% bf athlete mode on my smart scale (I'm probably a bit fatter than this. When I switched to normal mode yesterday it showed 20.3% bf. I'm somewhere in between those two values most likely) at best I'm at 20.83 FFMI. Which is above-average intermediate level stats. But if you are 188cm tall, the natty peak is 100.05kg. So if you are 188cm, you should be in a 109-123 calorie surplus. That's still not a lot.
I built my physique through bulking and cutting. But think about it this way: I invested nearly 23 months of my life into gymcelling. Only to gain like 14 lbs of lean mass max (maybe a bit more because I was 126.4 lbs night weight Sept 29 2022 when I finished my first cut. But I'm 140.4 lbs morning weight at my driest now. This is without diuretics, sauna or purposely dehydrating myself though. And I think I have a bit more lower abdominal fat than when I started bulking. Though I'm not sure. My skinniest pair of size 28 fuckboy jeans fight tight on me but I'm still able to wear them. But its very possible that they were tight on me when I was 126.4 lbs too. Or maybe its because my quads, glutes, hamstrings and calves grew). When I could have just bulked +1lb/month in that time and not have to go through the cutting bullshit.
My friend is very extroverted and high energy. He doesn't believe me when I tell him that I don't get laid a lot. My civilian body count is 15. And I've been with 17 escorts. 6 of the last 15 civs were in the last 22 months. And 3 of the hookers were from July 2022-Nov 2022. 14 hookers pre-pandemic. I haven't got laid in 14 weeks now. When my last ex and I broke up. Meanwhile she's probably getting railed right now by some other guy. lmfao. Autism is a death sentence. Hell even if I just kept my bitcoins and ethereum from 2016 and still had my autism, I think I would be far more sexually successfully because I would be rich enough to own my own condo in downtown Toronto and have women come over. My body count would be way more than 15 if I had my shit together. Women care about $$$ more than looks. Bodybuilding is for the male gaze. My friend was hitting on me the whole day practically.
