The biggest cope of today is AI and we are forced to accept it because if people stopped innovating then economy stunts and if that happens money value will decrease = people die. We are forced to work in the name of progress but this is all artificial, you could always live like the castaway in any given time.

For materialists ideology is in the superestructure of society and not the base, for this worldview the sustainavility of the base needs the subrogation of the superestructure and therefore you have collectivism. So no individual in that system can rebel to the needs of the base, destroying any possibility of dissagreement and that's why you cannot be against the goverment in a communist country because laws are over human desires.
