People been saying that for 20 years it will be true "possibly" one day. But by that point any intellectual task on earth will already be automated or be able to be automated in a quick time in which case its over already no matter what.

It still can't do basic math if chatgpt can replace you then you were doing a job an Indian overseas could already do. All chatgpt does is copy paste solutions from the internet so basically if your a webshitter who only uses stackoverflow its over. Learn a math intenseive branch of coding or do a job that requires a physical idea of the real world. Engineers who know how to code are so valuable.

If your job is just webdev then either specialize or you will get automated in a few years. Stuff like backend will exist but most of webdev is solving problems that have been solved thousands of times already

I think eventually everything may theoretically be automated but if your doing complex things you would know its not that easy. Chatgpt gets a lot of shit wrong people who are worried should not be in tech in the first place since they are just google searchers.
