After centuries under white men's rule in South America and Africa, ethnics just straight up using their civilizers' languages, and in SEA countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, PH, and Malaysia) , ethnics don't even use their own alphabets anymore. Having to use roman alphabets in a non-white country reminds them that they were once conquered by much much more superior civilizations. It burned and imprinted into their brains for lives. Being COLONISED undeniable part of their history.
