I have tried to have similar discussions before. Even among the more intelligent users, they can not agree what the mean and standard deviation are. (It would make far more sense if a standard deviation was equal to 1.5, a standard deviation of 1 turns it into a 2 to 8 scale). I long ago started using straight percentile when rating.

This thread is prime ground for a discussion of what PSL is, I’ve been following PSL forums for two years now and it’s constantly changing. It used to be that PSL was intended to act as a rating system that takes into account the downward bias women have when rating men and therefore your PSL rating is what what women see you as. It was out of ten but was only really used up to 8 because nobody incels knew about was perfect enough to go above that, now there are several variants floating around and people are afraid to hand out any rating above a 6. If this continues for two more years you’ll have people saying that PSL only goes up to six.
Does anybody else remember that? I first learnt about it from lookism, perhaps different forums use it Differently.
I don’t care what it is or what it’s supposed to be I just want everybody to be unified about it because otherwise it’s useless as a rating system because we can’t make comparisons.

The decile scale makes more sense with a standard deviation of 1.5

A standard deviation of 1.5 is too much, imo what I suggested in the OP comes close to reality

A+ in math I see... 5% is 1 in 20, I can totally imagine someone like Amnesia in every hs class jfl. Also being 95th percentile doesn't mean you are a simple high tier normie, at that percentile you are approaching Chadlite level, so PSL 5.5-5.9
