Someone stole my money

Basically i was supposed to rent an apartment and i found one and i sent the owner 1800 which is 2 months rent payment but I've to pay it from the start and turns out the guy was a thief and my mother's friend knows one guy who's a detective and works at a station and he searched him with his id number and it turns out that he's been on the run since September and did it multiple times before and bc of that i had to go back home and I've to find a new apartment now i fucking hate this bro why does shit like this happen to me only
