Someone told me something yesterday that I've been thinking about for while

I was at school and I just greeted him, then he said "You're so quite now what happened? You actually used to be funny and shit." I just said idk, then we laughed it off. I didn't know at all that people perceived me as funny. Sure, I used to be louder and less reserved in middle school, but I thought I was just a jester/nuisance.

I don't even think I've changed much at all in terms of social skills in the past 1-2 years. It's been on my mind for a long time, but I'm unable to find further meaning behind it. If I get a similar comment like this, I'm likely going to take a break from this forum.
