something to look into. This device called soma apparently helps symmetry and TMJ

"I am using a very similar appliance but MAD(Mandibular advancement devices) are only temporary relief without permanent results, The device I am using combines features of multiple devices to give dental height, separation between molars, level jaws, promotes growth of both jaws, improves the upper airway, fixes TMJ, expands the palate, symmetry and has permanent results see the pics" - @diggbicc

Idk how legit this is, unfortunately these guys are in australia. If someone tries it out, let us know if this is legit.

lifefuel, heres a snippet from one of the articles above:

"The SOMA was initially developed for treating TMD, however, the TMD would not resolve satisfactory without also treating the malocclusion. An orthopaedic approach was incorporated into the treatment process as a second component. Unfortunately this was not sufficient, a third component needed to be addressed, this was tongue positioning. Thus successful treatment could not be achieved unless proper stable jaw positioning was established with a sound cranial base. When these three components of treatment were addressed, that is TMD, orthopaedic and a stable Jaw position (tongue position), the results were highly satisfactory in a short period of time. The SOMA address all three components of treatment to provide rapid, effective and stable TMD treatment"

This aligns with my knowledge of the root causes of asymmetry:
- malocclusion
- tongue not straight

if you look at people's tongues whose faces have asymmetry, you will notice that if they stick out their tongue, usually it will deviate to the side. Your tongue is not pressed evenly against both sides of the palate, which leads to asymmetry.

So this is something to look out for, especially if you are hard mewing, which I highly discourage unless you already have decent symmetry and forward growth. Bc if you don't, you will simply be putting more force on one side leading to further asymmetry

I also read on toothfortooth website that the teeth is everything. If your occlusion is messed up, its effects will ripple down the rest of your body and can cause asymmetry in your spine (scoliosis). Thats why those who said that the posture and face is correlated is correct. But the irony is that if you have poor facial development, its very difficult and tiresome to force good body posture 24/7. If you look at people with good forward growth, usually I notice their necks are straighter (no forward head posture).

Its just natural that if you have more facial bones that are forward, your neck comes back to balance it out. If you are recessed, try this right now. Jut your lower jaw as forward as possible and notice how its easier for your forward head posture to be corrected ( have a straight neck) and it might even happen automatically

As another user put it, your head is literally a 5 kg bowling ball balanced atop a stick (your spine)

True, SOMA needs to be combined with ALF or any other device that harmonises both sides of your face to make sure that both halves of the maxilla are equally extruded to ensure the downward ripple effect in your body posture doesn't happen.

Very interested in this as I have facial assymetry, tmj and have had dental problems most of my life. Posture is also very difficult to keep straight + nerdy forward neck I have to force straight all day and it hurts like a bitch. This shit might be a miracle fix for me.

From what I read on the website you linked in another thread, it's available is Australia and the USA. Anyone in Europe that does it, that you're aware of?
