Just because you think neurodivergently doesn't make you specifically have Autism, it is a very narrow and specific disorder - if you are truly curious about your ND-ism, get diagnosed and support

but when they got tested, they did not fall under the diagnosis criteria for autism

The reason the criteria for it is so narrow is because the support for autism is extremely specific and different from just being ND [even if the ND is more severe than the autism and requires more support, the 'support' will be different]
