Most of this is what I have heard through girl friends, my ex, social media, guys in my frat and our groupchat with top sororities.
At any school worth a damn like Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, etc, (much less the apex social schools like ASU, Bama, UMiami) sorority rushes are taken VERY seriously. Girls think that the sorority they get into determines their social circle for next 4 years, if not well into their 20s and 30s as well as their career/marriage prospects due to networking opportunities. Their parents literally pay tens of thousands of dollars to "sorority consultants" to maximize their daughter's chances of getting a bid from a top sorority.

Let me tell you the rush event is a MASSIVE blackpill, racepill and moneypill. Although girls do not analyze jaw width and forward growth, they are VERY harsh on features that NT girls are aware of. You need facial harmony, a small upturned nose, full lips, light eye color and preferably blonde with no noticeable failos/recession/asymmetries to stand a chance. Height and leanness helps, so does fashionmaxxing. Think $15K Van Cleef bracelets, $30K Birkin bags, perfect outfits and shoes. They're looking for the social apex of the world, 5'11 8% bodyfat trust fund WASP stacies.
You'll never see a poor, ugly, ethnic, short or fat girl in top sororities.
