- had an orthodontist consultation (1st time)
- i have a crossbite, narrow palate, open bite, and tmj. Totally fucked at 17 yrs.
- orthodontist recommends that i get some sort of surgery for my skeleton structure.
- they say they can attempt a marpe + braces, but it may not solve my issue.
- my situation is deteriorating (open bite widening)

I want to avoid surgery as much as possible. Do you guys think MARPE will save me, or is surgery the only solution? (for aesthetics)
More importantly;

WILL MARPE ASCEND ME OR DESCEND ME?
- Im worried about looking worse after treatment because of the the widening

WILL SURGERY ASCEND ME OR DESCEND ME?
- Absolutely no clue what surgery theyre talking about, but maybe yall know. Will it be good for aesthetics or only functionality.
