Thanks to the amount of South Asians here, a lot of threads eventually turn into discussions on genetics, effectively derailing threads. I propose we use this thread for DNA talks from now on.

My fellow South Asian shitskins (or BVLLs), to get this thread going, post your results here whether they’re HarappaWorld, qpAdm, your haplogroups, etc.

I’ll start.

My HarappaWorld scores (AncestryDNA):

Baloch 43.45%
S Indian 31.76%
NE Euro 9.37%
Caucasian 9.33%

As a bonus, I’m adding my brother’s results, too.

My brother’s (LivingDNA):

Baloch 41.48%
S Indian 31.25%
Caucasian 11.67%
NE Euro 8.79%

Our haplotypes, both maternal (mtDNA) and paternal (Y-DNA) are U and L, respectively.

These results are interesting because unlike most South Asians, we do not have R1a-Z93 (Y-DNA) and M (mtDNA) as one would have expected us to have. That is what most South Asians will have.

Here are my illustrativeDNA’s results:

South Asians do not have Germanic or Nordic ancestry. Sometimes, people with high Steppe have some of it misread as European ancestry, but that’s not accurate. This happens mainly in Punjabi Jatts, who are Steppe heavy. I’m assuming it would be the same in Ror and Kamboj too, but I don’t think I’ve seen their results yet (I could be wrong).

Indeed, they are. It can provide some insight into our backgrounds, but oftentimes it can leave you with more questions. Have you taken one?

The 1% Senegal is interesting! You can check your Y-DNA by running your Ancestry raw data through this website:

Or: https://cladefinder.yseq.net/

Mine was accurately predicted, LivingDNA just gave a more precise haplogroup.

You’re welcome, let me know what it is. You most likely have R1b since you’re mainly west European (unless that’s your maternal side…).

all that just to be more than 50% indian

So you’re 16% Dravidian?
No, I’m Indo-Aryan. Dravidian and Indo-Aryan are linguistic groupings. You must be referring to the AASI, which is actually a simulated component. We don’t have actual skeletons of SAHG (South Asian Hunter Gatherers). It is claimed AASI and Basal East Asians are distantly related, so there’s that. :ogre:

Thanks man I’m gonna look into a lot of this now. Never new I could find a website like this
You’re welcome! Keep in mind, you likely have a more specific haplogroup but you would have to get tested even further. I don’t think it’s worth it, but that’s my two cents.

Thanks bro now I’m gonna go down this rabbit hole 😂

This is exactly why phenotype =/= genotype. He has double the Steppe I have, lower AASI and he looks way more jeety than me.
I think places like Haryana selected for darker skin due to the climate despite their high Steppe while the opposite happened for Kalash peoples due to the mountainous environment ig

Who were the aryans sintashta or the yamnaya
the indo-aryans were a mixed population between the andronovo culture and BMAC with whom they mixed with.

Andronovo descendeds from Sintashta which came before it. Yamnaya was the original indo-european culture that all other indo-european cultures spread out from.

Indo Iranian origins

The update thing they did for illustrative dna is complete bullshit. Theres not way you have 16% pure AASI strain in you if you're pakistani or even northwest indian. Thats literally south indian brahmin levels.

Look im not even full north indian, im half south indian and half north indian, and my north indian isnt even all from the northwest and i get around 20% pure aasi. Your pure aasi should realistically be only around 1-10% at most.
