SpaceX will launch a NASA mission to an asteroid with enough precious metal to make everyone on Earth a billionaire

If there is an abundance of precious metals, they wouldn’t be precious anymore. Hence theirs price will crash, everyone who owns them will become a beggarcel

What is likely to happen is that all of them will be hoarded by a higher power like what dat feel said and they will become a monopoly. Kinda what is going on with diamonds

:soy: NASA, great.

It's really just very basic understanding of economics to be honest. If we mined all the gold earth has to offer, a kilo of gold would have the same value as a can of milk.

When you are too low IQ to understand a basic economic concept of offer and demand and tries to write an article about spacial exploration...

70% of the people don’t have basic economic sense though. Most adults don’t seem to understand supply/demand chain.

It's clickbait. Low iq rednecks and thugs get excited seeing something like that and normies get frustrated seeing someone write something so incredibly stupid. As a result, everyone will read the article.

This applies only to third world countries and America tbh.

If it somehow gets on earh....all precious metals on earth will lose all their value....people dont understand that this landing is going to be aaaaa bigggg economic mistake
Asteroid mining is too expensive at the moment, but maybe in a hundred years. Thank god I'm not there to see that.

What if instead of spending money on expensive mining missions, we would launch a rocket that would push the asteroid and crash it on Earth, where the metals can be easily collected, if we control the crash to an uninhabited region, nothing bad can happen.

low iq shits don't understand demand and supply equilibrium.

Literally everyone understands, but they just get more clicks on the article, if it triggers people. Nobody would otherwise read a article of space mining in far future.

no i mean the users here, scarcity is what gives value to a commodity. abundance takes away the value.
