(I am Spanish but I know that Italy has a lot in common with us and kinda faces the same issues, confirm please @gamma ).
There are cultural factors which explain this, but the most important reason is very simple. As a rule, guys mog foids HARD.
About other countries: There´s not even need to mention most ethnic countries, apply JBW and you´ll be good ngl.
In other european countries, girls are usually as attractive as guys (Nordic countries), so the potencial price is better so to speak. Or even better, women are usually hotter than guys (Slavic countries), where you can see normies or even subhumans with Stacylite and Stacy GFs).
But in Spain/ Italy , you can enjoy the typical western hypergamy PLUS women being meh and guys being quite GL. Which doesn´t reduce hypergamy, on the contrary, this makes women demands increase even more, and it´s quite common to see Spanish Chads with Becky or even chubby GFs.

On the bright side of things, when an above average Spanish/Italian guy gets out of his country he usually slays hard or gets easily a cute GF, since most other countries are just normal/easy difficulty compared to his country´s "Dante must die" dating market. Which is i what i should do myself ngl.
