You surely know it, you are on your well-deserved vacation, lying on the beach by the sea, the sun is shining, you hear the waves crashing, you are happy and deeply relaxed. At the end of the vacation you realize ... hmmm... my skin is much better, much cleaner and the pores much smaller. You ask yourself: why is it suddenly so much better?

TLDR: Use a sea salt spray on your face, it doesn't matter why, but you will have a cleaner and better skin. For best results, go out in the sun after spraying, yes even in winter.

Benefits?

  • detoxifies skin
  • exfoliates
  • provides nutrients (minerals, vitamins)
  • restores natural oil balance
  • fights acne causing bacteria and other infections

Recipe:
  1. Heat 200-300ml high quality water (no tap water).
  2. then add 2-3 tablespoons of sea salt and mix.
  3. (Optional: add a few drops to 1 tablespoon of oil)
  4. then let it cool down
  5. then put it into a spray bottle.
  6. Now you have a high quality sea salt spray
  7. Use it daily.
  8. Enjoy beautiful skin

It's not good for hair...

On skin it might have some benefits and kill some bacteria, body pimples usually disappear and my skin feels smoother in the summer after I go the beach for several days, and swim in the sea then lay for a few hours in the sun, but it could be just from the exposure to sun.

Tbh my skin looks way better after sun exposure. Increased blood flow, nice undertones and less pimples. So it could just be the sun. I think salt is good to give hair some texture, but it simultaneously dries it out, so you need to moisturize it properly.

Scientifically, there is no such thing as "oily skin" as you mean it, it is just an actual condition and depends on, for example, your diet. Sea salt in the amount we use here, dries out your hair/skin a bit, but your body will directly re-grease it, which also creates this glow. Provided you have the right diet, without it you will get dry skin/hair, because no natural regreasing can occur.

I've used table salt and water to style my hair
it gave my hair abit more texture but dried it out abit
does this make your skin darker tho

Never use table salt (never eat it, never do anything with it), use high quality sea salt without any additives.
