I've mocked people with beards before, and granted, it looks like shit while you're still young. But after seeing my father shave off his beard for the first time in literal decades (I literally don't even have any memories of him without a beard), I'm now convinced that not having a beard is a massive fail once your youth is over.
Having a beard can massively improve facial symmetry. I legitimately believed that my father was basically normie-tier facially until he shaved (shocking spoiler: he was a 4/10 at best), because his facial hair masked his shitty lower third. I'm not kidding about this; before my father shaved, I saw him as an intimidating (albeit low IQ and stupid) figure. Now that his facial hair is gone and I can see his naked and shitty lower third, I can't even take him seriously. The dude literally shaved 1.5 to 2 points off his looks and overall presence just by getting rid of his hair.
To be clear, you will not become sexually attractive just by growing a beard. But it can make you look considerably more mature, and people will probably take you more seriously. If you're 30 or older.
