I only played the first 5 gens so I'm not familiar with the rest but the games I played I picked starters based on aesthetics with my favorite beibg totodile, if I remember correctly charizard is the shittiest starter from kanto when it comes to competitive play.

Yea but that changed starting in gen 6 cuz every gen since then Charizard got a shit ton of buffs. Now blastoise is the weakest competitively from Kanto


Weakest overall is probably Meganoum still

Strongest in doubles is Incineroar or Meowscarads

Strongest in singles is Skeledirge, Cinderacs, or Meowscarada rn

Being 9 yeas old playing pokemon silver on my Gameboy color with all the other kids from the street was peak pokemon experience for me ngl.

I even had one of those link cables so we could battle and trade pokemons.
