Is the market for that too over saturated? If I were to start a clothing line I’d prob go for punk/emo/skater type clothing style cuz those types of people seem to not care about brands as much and buy a lot of shit online.

I’d pay a designer to make designs for me and then drop maybe like $7500 into starting a website and making a first batch of clothing, then I’d spend another 5-10k promoting it thru celebrities tiktoks and instagrams and sending them the clothes to wear in videos.

Would this work?

too oversaturated

I also think the market is over saturated but don’t really take my word I’m a retard that’s trying to learn about moneymaxxing

Anything that isn’t over saturated?
anything that requires low investment like buying and selling instagram pages, dropshipping (oversaturated but can be gamed very easily if you know what ur doing) buying and selling iphones on fb marketplace

How could someone even get into dropshipping? People don’t buy from random websites

u need to make people excited about a very specific product they see, a product that they think they can only find on your store, look into 1 product dropshipping websites. The product needs to be either fun to use, solves a problem, or ideally both

Yeah but none of them really put money into advertising it, if I bought a fake Instagram page with like 100k, got a legit looking website, botted likes and turned comments off, and had good looking designs made by professional graphic designers, and then had youtubers, tiktokers, Instagram models, etc wear my clothes and also pay people to promote my brand in comments then I think it could be successful.

Realistically I would probably have to drop like $40k into this to start out, but this would be a good way to make money after I have enough to start

That’s a really good idea.

spend all your time scrolling on aliexpress looking for a new product that looks useful to the average person, preferably for young people, and when you find one search it in on social media apps and google trends to see if anybody has capitalised on it yet

Should I promote it thru influencers and spam?

Botting and faking interaction statistics is one way to run your business into the ground.

It may be good to fake some of them initially to give people the perception that your brand is doing well, but it falters for a few reasons:

1. Some users are smarter than others and will quickly figure out if something is fishy, even if comments are turned off. Also, comments being turned off hinders opportunities for customer interaction and feedback (it’s also one of the prime tools used to convert potential customers into sales, because positive comments are considered triggers to getting the client to hit the purchase button, comments disabled can be seen as fishy).
2. Faking and botting these statistics throws any value you can derive from using data platforms like the Instagram Insights tool into the ground. You will have a hard time tracking what is organic growth and what isn’t.
3. It’s generally a bad look for sponsors who are smart and they know this shit in and out, if they see your brand is fake and tacky they will not be interested
4. Having organic growth gives your business and other stakeholders confidence you are heading in the right path

Regardless, this market is over saturated and there’s at least a many thousand other guys thinking the same like you, and I’m talking about ones that think they can advertise it properly as well.

The only way you could pull this off these days is if your brand was exceptionally outside the box, hand made with high quality and not tacky. There are a lot of mass re-produced clothing brands right now selling very tacky designs trying to pull this get rich quick crap with clothing brands, and in their minds they think they are doing something exceptionally different.

My aim isn’t to shut down your idea, I just hope to give advice. I’ve had opportunities to work in marketing and organic growth is unfortunately often undervalued. People are quick to buy fake followers etc. by the masses, I would at most buy a few thousand (1000-2000 followers, a few hundred likes, etc.), but I frequently see pages with 50-100k+ that do worse than organically grown businesses (clothing or not) with sub 10k followers.

everyone will tell you this and that is saturated.

but if you want to truly do it you will still make money.

saturated = spend more time for results but still possible

I agree with this.

Saturation is often used as a reason to not enter a market, which is why I think it’s only safe to enter if you are truly willing to commit 110% of effort daily, both in terms of $$$ and sleepless nights.

Not only that, but you really need to have a reason and drive to compete in a saturated market.

If your sole reason and drive was to make $$, you would probably be better off avoiding a saturated market and doing something else, there needs to be more substance behind your goals than $$ when entering saturated markets.

This isn’t for me to tell you, but for you to find out yourself.

Anyone fully invested and committed in a market likely won’t tell you what to do or what works best, otherwise it would be more competition for them.

This is why all the YouTube videos and TikToks of get rich quick schemes should be taken with a grain of salt, whether it’s what the best product to drop ship or how to make big $$$ from forex (lol).

These videos are using YOU as the product, you are the consumer in this case, why would any rational individual tell you their secret to success?

This is why those content creators rely mainly on selling courses etc., because that (you) is their income.

The best market is something you would excel in, somewhere where you can use your skills to provide value.

I’m getting off on a tangent but my point being is you are going to have to do some research yourself and see what currently sells well and what you might actually have knowledge in which you could leverage to create more value.

I understand the main goal is to make $$, but there’s many ways to do that, you just have to find the way which you can best integrate yourself into.

Sorry for not giving a direct answer, but I’m frankly not a fan of giving binary responses and would rather leave you with something that might provide you with more value.

This is the problem i see in your plan. You're paying everyone else to do all the work, including marketing. You aren't bringing anything to the table, how can you expect to get anything in return? You're treating all the work like lego bricks to be assembled together into a set

Yes this is assuming I already have money, this wouldn’t be my main hustle

before you come up with a method to get money think it all the way through.

“making a clothing brand” isn’t a method to get rich.

what clothes will you make and why will people buy them? pay a designer? design them yourself, stop wasting money. pay someone to create a website? tf make a website yourself, it’s easy. how will i actually make the clothes? pay someone to make them (less profit and might turn out different than you wanted) or learn to make yourself (takes a bunch of time to learn and a sowing machine)? you’re now forced to invest money in order to make the product. now that you have a few pieces, it’s not like people are just going to flock to your brand from no where… which arises the question

where will i find customers? botting followers, likes, comments, etc. will always hinder your organic growth, if not completely shut it down. it should only be used to gain credibility which is not necessarily what you need. those botted followers don’t equate to people visiting your instagram and buying your clothes.

in my opinion, it’s oversaturated, requires too much investment of either time or money, with no guaranteed return. however, if i was to do it, from what i’ve seen and done as a customer for small instagram clothing brands is most “advertising” is actually through these methods:
1. fashion pages where they just post theoretical fits with a blank background
2. people posting pieces on their story and tagging the brand
3. word of mouth (a lot of teens in my school wear the same clothes from the same small clothing brands)
4. niche artsy fashion faggots with an okay taste in fashion.
5. tiktok ads (not recommended as it will have to appeal to tiktok fashion taste which is just gay skeleton hoodies and other gay bullshit)
6. instagram sponsors can do well if you have thousands of dollars to just blow
7. maybe get creative? some things off the top of my head; give out free clothes to start. maybe edit celebrities with your clothes on them and pay meme pages to post the pic.

other thoughts:
1. you don’t necessarily need comments on. the clothes can speak for themselves
2. quality over quantity (obvious as people are buying from a small brand)
3. be clear on the sizing of the clothes
4. repeat buyers are important. if you target a specific niche, there will be a small group of people waiting for the next drop as long as they believe you always put out the quality clothes in their niche that they’re looking for

im actually into this, yes it's a VERY difficult space especially if you're not in a smaller micro-niche .I won't reveal too much but I think I got my first drop almost ready. If you're just starting out do it yourself if you can. If you need a designer maybe keep one in house if you can afford it.

Unless you're serious about it I wouldn't do it... and LOL why would your site cost 7500 just use shopify

you have a normie brain, everything you think of will be oversaturated for that reason. I know of plenty things that arent. and things that don't even exist yet.

Nigga I don't have normie brain, I just know nothing about that market, I already know I would need to find a micro-niche in order to have any amount of success, that's water, I have no interest in starting a brand though I was probably just brain storming when I made this post.

And I said the $7500 would go towards making the clothes and having a website designed, jfl at using shopify if you're actually serious about it, if I were dropping any money into actually having clothes made I would also be dropping at least a grand on a website.

plenty of brands use shopify and works well enough, then when you outgrow it move on.

Ratings from women are super inaccurate. They're most likely going to say something nice but without interest so you can just leave them alone. Unless they're actually approaching you and leaving thirst comments first then you already know where you stand on the looks spectrum

That's why I said blackpilled female lmao, ik normal female ratings don't mean shit most the time.

Most of them are already they just won't say anything to hurt your feelings. Find any group talking about a guy privately and they'll be much more brutal
