STARTING DERMINATOR ON SCALP TOMORROW, NEED HELP (21yrs old)

Hey guys I will finally start using derminator for my hairline /hair density as I’m receding.

(will do semen retention at the same time because I think my porn addiction created this issue), lost something like 1-2 cm on my temples.

I would like to know your disinfection routine as this is the hardest part for me : do you disinfect scalp ? Before ? After ? Do you use ointments / products right after ? Do you recommend anything ?

I bought the infadolan just in case , and I will use 1-1.5 mm for scalp and at the same time I will do 0.5mm for face

When I used to micro needle my face, I would just soak the needles in 70% Iso alcohol for 5 minutes then let it air dry and would wash my face with soap and then rub a tiny amount of 70% Iso on my face before applying the ha acid.


I've never done scalp myself but you could probably do something similar.

Disenfect both. Use chlorhexidine or 70% isopropyl alcohol.

it’s bit of a trial and error and you perfect it as you do it along. here is what I do

1) Have a shower. After shower, do not touch your head with anything. Just let it air-dry.
2) Come to your room. Disinfect the table with sterile pads saturated with IPA 70%
3) Sterilize your hands with IPA 70%. Let it air-dry.
4) Saturate sterile pads with IPA 70% and clean your scalp and face. let it air dry.
5) OPTIONAL: Wear sterile surgery gloves.
6) Open a new needle cartridge. Plug it in.
7) Open the device and enter settings.
8) Apply HA to your face. Start microneedling your face.
After finishing your face, go to your scalp. Run at 1.5mm.
a. If at any point you bleed, saturate a sterile pad with IPA and go over your face to disinfect.
9) Go to bathroom and wash your face and head with lukewarm water. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING.
10) Disinfect your hands again. Let your face and scalp air-dry.
11) Apply Infadolan to your dry face and Aloe Vera then coconut oil on your head.

I just finished my second session :
- i wash my hair and face before using the derminator. I don't disinfect my skin as it damages it. I didn't get infection so far, using 0.75 to 1.5 mm needles. I don't know what will happen long term, but i don't think putting alchohol on the face each week is a good idea. But i don't know if i will stay free from infections either.
- i use alcohol gel for my hands as i don't have IPA 70%
-i use a new cartrige each time. But as i am out of stock irght now i disinfected my last one with chloramine 2% and i will use it again next week (total of 2 uses)
-i dipped the needles in HA (bought it from owndoc) but it doesnt feel enough. You recommend to apply HA to the face, how do you apply it ? do you have a kind of eyedropper ? And where do you buy it?
-for the face i use between 0.5 and 0.75, as for now i only did my forehead (0.5) and my eyebrows and between my eyes (0.75) as i'm still practicing the circular motion patterns.
-i got some pinpoint bleeding on my scalp and forehead, i did not touch it, seems to be okay one day later (IPA will be absorbed if i use it on damaged skin ?)
- i did not wash my face as it is written to wait like 10 hours to wash the face and 24 hours to put any product if the needles > 0.5mm.
-after how long do you apply Aloe cocout and infadolan ? I ordered infadolan and i have a cream made of aloe vera, shea butter and sweet almond (i don't know if its good or if i should take an aloe vera cream).
- i have coconut oil and peppermint oil, i plan to use them tomorrow (how long do you let the coconut oil on your head?)

I see your point and it is a valid one. Now, from my research, the Derminator seems to be less irritating and heal quicker. This may be due to the derminator seemingly doesn't cause any microtears on the skin(which may have ramifications for the skin in the long term). I think these points makes a reasonable case for paying for the Derminator. From what I've seen, people who own both some kind of Dr. Pen and the Derminator always prefer the Derminator. But they usually say that Dr. Pen still gets the job done, especially in regards to hair loss.

i'm very satisfied with the derminator for now, didn't get any issue.
