Starting dopamine detox

At midnight 1 1/2 hours we start and go until Monday 00:00. That means no drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sugar or masturbation.

Well you can't even quit smoking. Why should I expect you to know wtf you talk about? And this forum sucks. It doesn't even make me laugh unless I'm high.

i dont wanna dopamine detox, i get extremly ER-suicidal when i try quitting stuf
 
Good luck but you should go for longer maybe like 1-2 weeks, I also did this once for a month but restricted social media and porn tio and everything that somehow gives dopamine but it still didnt really help that much.
What really helps is building strong discipline and being able to work for 16 hours a day aka having control over yourself rather than relying on brain chemistry

Thats unnecessary and extreme.Dopamine Detox is basically just to reset your stimulation levels to less than
what you're used to engaging in.So for example if you're used to spending too much time lurking org,
watching porn ,playing video games etc ,you instead need to replace those activities with reading a constructive
book or listening to a motivational video,eating healthier foods than ur used to consuming and so on.Any sort
of thing that employs discipline is a form of Dopamine Detox and will make you mentally stronger.

You are unironically right tho, staring at a wall for like a day would be way more effective than just doing half assed dopamine detox where you still eat food and use the internet

Ok, I just took the last nicotine pouch now 23:59 which means I'm basically cheating throughout the first hour or so. It's Friday now and the nicotine is still gonna have an effect for a little while.

Thats silly and extreme,accomplishes nothing.You'd get more bang for your buck instead by at least doing 100
pushups everyday for a week+ in which case you're building discipline and a decent physique in the process.

Agreed, I even said in my previous post that building discipline is way more effective than dopamine detox

Yeah, but that's effectively what I'm going. Maybe tolerance reset is a more accurate term. I'm just taking a short break to get more benefits from the vices that I utilize in my everyday life and need less of it. It lowers cost and improves overall heath since I'll need less stimulus to get the same or even better effects.

I'm 5 1/2 hours in and it's annoying because I slept for like 12 hours and I still don't have any energy. Had a sleep paralysis/lucid dream and then a dream where I got caught shoplifting (they let me go).

I don't have any food either because I bought a suit piece for my last money so yeah I'm doing a fast too.

First few hours were the hardest tbh right now it’s just the no sugar and nic tahts hard hoping it gets easier
