Steam is worthless, whats the point in buying digitally?

If it's digital why could you not pirate it (Barring multiplayer games)

But just look at how many people for an example bought Witcher 3 on steam, why? I would only ever buy a game as a disc copy for a console.

yeah man every game i ever bought is bought with a disc and case. i just play digital free trial and see if i enjoy it first. i think steam is for people who like to buy a lot of games but never finished them. u see guys with huge libraries yet they never played a shit in it. with console if u buy a full priced game u will play it no doubt
