A lot of ppl here claiming that steroids during puberty will close your growth plates.
I will explain how this mechanism works, how to prevent it, and what you can do.
Studies have shown that androgens can accelerate bone growth.
Why testosterone can close growth plates:
As you all know, testosterone converts into estrogen. Estrogen closes your growth plates.
Solution:
Take an AI to prevent conversion into estrogen (Not recommended because estrogen is hard to manage, and AI can be unhealthy long term)
Or
Take androgens that do not convert to estrogen(non-aromatizable). This includes: DHT and Anavar. "Moreover, non-aromatizable androgens such as dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and oxandrolone accelerate the rate of bone growth in patients without affecting systemic levels of GH (Stanhope et al., 1988; Veldhuis et al., 1997)." Since DHT does not convert to estrogen, steroids that are dht derivative should be fine
