Gerrard is a better football player then lampard and it’s not even close

Both do have close stats tbf but look at the teams lampards played with at Chelsea Vs what Gerrard played with at Liverpool .Prolly played w one good team in 20 years vs Lampard who played w ballers for years .

Gerrards better in terms of passing,work rate ,strenghth,is smarter and 100 other things

Nah man, i've been a witness to both players careers. Both had fantastic teams, Torres was for a couple of years like the best striker in the world, he had Alonso, Carragher, Riise, Kewell, Kuyt, Morientes, Mascherano, Agger

Its just Chelsea had a more solid core in general that was built upon always (Cech-Terry-Lampard-Drogba)

Gerrard was a better defender and overall put lots of effort, he was like an all around player. Lampard was way more offensive, id say he was a better passer actually

Crazy to think England had them both plus Beckham and never achieved anything

Gerrard played with some good players over the years yes but only played with overall good teams in 2004-2008 and in the 13/14 season .Apart from then yeah he might have one other player in the squad who was good aswell but doesn’t mean much when the rest are shit

Aswell as that he always had shit managers,imagine him with the managers that were at Chelsea,Jose,Ancelotti etc.

Do u really think if u replaced Gerard instead of Lampard in that Chelsea team of Terry,Cech,Drogba ,that this would still even be a debate?The fact that they are even comparable with the circumstances Gerard was given is amazing

I think Lampards a better finisher than Gerard tbf ,not by much but he still is ,but no one can ping a ball 40 yards like Gerard did .

Yeah I am ,I do rate Lampard tho .Yeah PL back in the 2000s is of much higher standerds then PL today .
