Its a strange paradox, but when you start to think about what you are doing, thats precisely when you'll start to act weird and uncanny.

Sometimes in my life I got into social situations and was doing really well, but then all of the sudden I started to overthink: why is this nigga laughing so much at my jokes? What are those people thinking of me right now?

and as soon as I started to think about the moment, I lost my momentum and started to act weird. Dont think. Just dont think, lose yourself in the moment.

There is a famous history a brazilian comedian often tells in his podcasts(idk the origin of the story, but I heard it from him), it goes like this:

There was once a happy centipede that was a great dancer. When she danced, all animals of the forest would gather together to watch the show. There was only one animal who didnt like the centipede's dance: the turtle.
"What can I do to make this centipede stop dancing?" said the turtle

The turtle couldnt simply say that the centipede was bad at dancing, cause nobody would believe it.
So the turtle wrote a letter to the centipede:

“Oh, incomparable centipede! I am a devoted admirer of your unique dance and would love to know how you do it. Do you first lift your left leg number 28 and then your right leg number 59, or do you start dancing by lifting your right leg number 26 and then your left leg number 49? I look forward to your response. Cordial greetings, the turtle ”.

When the centipede received this letter, she reflected for the first time in her life on what she actually did when she danced. Which leg did she move first? And which leg came after?

And do you know what happened?

The centipede never danced again.

True true, in social situations living in the moment mogs hard. Thinking to much in a social setting is a death sentence. You can't master situational humour if you overthink things.

It's true, specially if you want to happinessmaxx. That's why forums like these are criticized, because even though you may end up going some points up in your physical attractiveness you will also end up being more self-conscious of your flaws and less prone to live in the present. On the other hand things like mindfulness and meditation are getting popular now: because in the present time it's really hard to just be In the moment.

I liked a passage in the power of now book that tells you to check in on yourself and ask "in this very moment, what is lacking?", asking myself this instantly gets me out of my head and into the present moment, the answer is "nothing" and I just continue the conversation or activity in the present. This is of course a big problem for new generations so if you can monkmogg normies people will notice that you're more confident, chilled, relaxed, easy-going than the average person and see you as more approachable.

Im centipede, what if
