Ofc people will say hair doesnt matter or whatever, and yes thats true if youre chad then you can rock most hairstyles. But in reality when you are htn or below hairmaxxing is probably the number 1 softmax you can do.

The side part or the Alain Delon’s hairstyle is the best hairstyle you can have as a white man with straight hair. It works because facial structure stays in control. This style follows measurable rules, not taste.

Attractive male faces track close to perfect facial thirds. Delon’s hair keeps the hairline visible and avoids excess height. Your upper third stays proportional. High volume styles stretch the face upward and lower harmony scores in facial analysis research.

Perceived attractiveness rises with facial width to height ratio. The side part keeps length at the temples and sides. No hard fades. No hollowing your zygos and jaw appears more protruding. Studies link higher facial width to dominance and masculinity ratings. Aggressive tapers reverse this effect.

The brain prefers even visual mass. Delon’s hair distributes weight across top, sides, and back. No isolated bulk. No vertical spike. Your facial features stay central. Overbuilt top styles pull attention away from bone structure.

Masculinity cues depend on visible landmarks. Brow ridge, deep set eyes, cheekbones, jawline. Delon’s style frames the face instead of hiding it. Forehead stays open. Eyes gain contrast. Fringes block structure and reduce dominance perception in visual judgment studies.

This hairstyle survives aging, no sharp lines, no density dependence and works even with mild recession.

Simplicity increases signal strength in mate choice research. Fewer variables. Clear structure. Hair supports and your face leads.

What to ask your hairdresser for this haircut is the following: you want a side part, medium lenght on top, leave length at the temples and sides and ask for scissors over clippers around the temples. No FADES.
Ear grazing length on the sides. Do not expose the parietal ridge.

How to style it:
Start with damp hair after a shower. Not dripping. Comb hair back and outward along the parietal ridge, following natural growth on each side. Let hair air dry for five minutes so direction sets. Apply a small amount of pomade to mid lengths and ends. Keep product away from the hairline. Re establish separation at the parietal ridge. Comb backward to form flow, not height. Use fingers to relax the shape. Use a hairdryer on low heat at the sides. Push hair slightly outward to form waves and preserve width. Keep the top flat to moderate. Optional but recommended finish with a light layer of hairspray for hold.

A perm can give more curl which can add misc, but for a side part it will look off. The curls disrupt the flow of the hairstyle and break the facial framing that makes it appealing imo

yeah obv its very contextual depending on the face ur dealing with, but is the hairstyle below not more ideal then 1a-1b hair? like just generally this seems more appealing if you can just perm ur straight hair and get to the picture below rather than the picture you attached

Very true its very contextual from person to person. That middle part wavy curtain style works for its own aesthetic. For a side part like Delon’s, straight hair styled with flow along the parietal ridge frames the face better imo. That hairstyle is pretty ideal aswell it depends on what you can rock the best
