A certain typhoon who I never got the chance to interact with would insist that he wasn't "white" because of his admixed Levantine/Northern European origin. He would insist that "white=European only" which like most people only showcased his utter ignorance of the genetic and phenotypic diversity of Europe as well as his lack of knowledge of genetic relationships. Which "European"? A Sardinian "European" with virtually no Northern European ancestry? A Northern Russian with detectable Central and Eastern Asian ancestries but no Southern European ancestry? What about the various Greek populations and their various mixtures of Northern/Southern European ancestries along with a substantial Middle Eastern output? What about Lithuanians with their lack of Middle Eastern output? These cannot be equated at all. What about people from the Middle East with "white skin"? Oh, they're not "white" they're "white passing" as if that odd Americanism used to refer to people of admixed African-American/Northern European origin can be applied to those who are the CLOSEST PEOPLE TO EUROPEANS GENETICALLY. He once tried to equate Middle Easterners with Uyghurs when somebody insisted Middle Easterners could be "white". Uyghurs are a mixture of Eastern Eurasian and Western Eurasian, dolt. They are considerably more distant to Western Eurasians than Western Eurasians are to other Western Eurasians; plus they're predominantly Eastern Eurasian anyway. This is a false analogy. He also equates Pashtuns to Middle Easterners even though Pashtuns are (far) more distant to Middle Easterners than Europeans are to Middle Easterners.

On a side note, white skin in Middle Eastern populations is due to the sharing genes with Europeans; Europeans and Middle Easterners share a significant amount of the same genes and it is NOT "convergent evolution". The same blue eyes and blonde hair in Yazidis is the same as in Swedes. Period. This is known.

Ironically enough, he calls Southern Italians/Ashkenazim/Sephardim "white" even though he wouldn't allow that term for himself even though.......THEY'RE ADMIXED WITH EUROPEAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN! And not only that, their "European" component is predominantly SOUTHERN European. Middle Easterners are closer to Southern Europeans (even those with lower Middle Eastern ancestry like French and Spaniard and not even just Greeks or Bulgarians) than they are to Northern Europeans. What about groups whose European is predominantly Southern European ALONGSIDE substantial Middle Eastern ancestry on top of that? Why are YOU "white passing" (stupid term) and yet European Jews/Southern Italians are "white"? The opposite is true; they're more Middle Eastern/Levantine shifted than you are.

This is called "rules for thee not for me". It's nonsense.

If Ashkenazim are "white" so are you.
