Let’s say you are 18, would you study for 6 hours straight a day for the next 2 years (or 12 hours for a year) of your life to get in a super good college in your country of residence so that you’ll be mega rich and will be able to retire at 35, having all that time for yourself except 2-4 hours a week that you’ll have to do the real estate shit you’re in and taxes?

Cons:
In this imaginary scenario you fucked complete total of 0 girls, you had the opportunity to but since you’re so autistic and awkward you never took it. You live in such a small town that you’ll be lucky to fuck a single foid in the span of 2 years and there’s no guarantee that she’s not LTB/fat.
You’re a burden for your dad.

Pros:
You’ll be making shit tons of money even for westerners.

do you really think that getting into a good college will automatically make you rich afterwards?

This college prestige is BS

Also JFL at anyone who studies more than 3 hours a day.

College prestige is everything
Only during education

Once you get into the workforce you'll have colleagues who didn't even complete school

But it's so much easier to get a high paying job with a non meme degree from a prestigious college

Not a LARP studying should begin at the start of the year not before muh exams.

Consistent studying over a whole school year and you can ace exams with as little as 1 hour/2 hour study time per day

Water but after your first job no Employer gives a shit

Although you do get the occasional appraisal if you do bring it up. Prestigeness matters more for prestige ventures like working in Quant/Jane street, VC and PE or becoming an Entrepreneur whose given funding

5 years post grad, budgeting and non risky investments (maybe a side hustle if you can be bothered) and you probably won't have to worry about money for the rest of your life. Albeit you won't necessarily be "rich", you'll be well off. Though this requires a stem, law or finance bachelors/masters at one of the most prestigious universities in your country.

Depends where/what you are gunning for really.

Here in Toronto, majority of financial institutions (even moreso with tech) are getting a massive hardon for Waterloo students.

One of my internship cohorts was like 15/25 Waterloo students, ridiculous.

Considering entry level market is such a shitshow right now (1000 applicants for 1 position), having a better name can indeed help, unfortunately.

That first job is all that matters, and right now it's the hardest one to get, so it helps in getting your foot in the door. After that, yes, it's true, doesn't really matter what school you came from.
