Everyone keeps calling me a Boomer, but I can't relate. This is what I think of this:

Stuff boomers like:

-reality tv
-CNN/FOX
-Dancing with the Stars!
-Drinking Beer
-Major League Sports
-"Classic Rock" aka the Beatles
-Talking on the phone (like, who does that anymore?)
-Complaining about the youth of today when they themselves were the ones who said "Don't trust anyone over 30"
-Completely selfish/narcissistic
-If they are liberal, they are the worst kind of liberal. If they are conservative, they are the worst kind of conservative (aka Neo Con , Wars of Israel)
-Skeptic of religion , but "spiritual"
-Sweatin' to the Oldies
-If they are Boomer women they watch "The View". If they are Boomer men they watch "Hannity"

I don't fit any of this junk.

It's just jokes, but why do you think being a boomer is a bad thing? Most boomers are sensible people who are right about world of today. It's like a fucking circus with all the trannies, cucks and the wannabe gangsters. I don't myself know about US boomers, maybe US had a good welfare society already in the 50s, but here in Finland, the boomers worked hard in the cold snowy forests and factories building up the welfare society which today has allowed me to live a high quality and a stress-free life and allowed me to get any education I want and all the healthcare I need today and in the future for free. Thank god for the boomers and all the generations before them.

Just because I live at home with my dad and I'm on SSI doesn't make me a failure. I am going back to school and getting my Associate's Degree. Also I have an underground music following.

Unions are the only thing that made sure that most workers would have their wages keep up with inflation. It also made sure that they would have fair benefits and workers rights.

After unions were destroyed in America, it’s no surprise that wages stagnated soon after. It’s also no surprise that the American worker gets the worst deal compared to workers in other parts of the developed would.

Reagan was terrible. He wanted to restrict guns and granted a massive amnesty. His trickle down economic plan was complete garbage and still do this day is one of the biggest scams that any individual has pulled off in American politics.

So you don't believe someone should be able to work if they want to? Unlike a Union where you must pay dues and if they go on strike you lose out because of it? That isn't fair at all.

People obviously should be allowed to work if they want to. But right to work laws just hamper the power of labour unions and collective bargaining, which gives the workers less ability to bargain with businesses.

I believe that people should do that individually. Unions actually make it harder for people to find work. For example, as an Actor I get many less parts because I don't belong to SAG. (screen actors guild). You have to have at least 2 acting credits (I only have one) and pay outstanding fees each year. Because of SAG, regular people can't get parts because they dominate in everything and take favor over non contract actors. So they clog up the system.

People negotiating individually results in that person being silenced or fired. The average person asking their boss for a raise = trouble. This is why workers have to bargain as a collective.

it sucks to hear that tbh. unions having too much power is as bad as them having no power. Workers lose out. A balance can be found imo
