This is pretty much natural instead of Penis "philosophical stance on optimism" every animal can suffer, they don't have to think or decide like humans to suffer. If you put a bird in a cage the bird will suffer. If you destroy a man's dreams he will suffer. If you're poor or lonely the same thing. There's always material conditions that destroy beings from within. Being pessimistic is a defense mechanism against this fact.

I'm going against your stance about "suffering is relative". Also you can't be 100% optimistic or pessimistic, it's more like a tendency (feeling like a loser or a winner doesn't change reality). The advantage of feeling like a loser is that you don't get dissapointed when *situations are bad*, these situations are real and not just based on mental programming. Being pessimistic *about things* is better in the long term because I can't control reality.
