I don’t think most people are actually talking about white sugar when talking about sugar here. Might be wrong, though.But why eat sugar when you can eat fruit? It’s basically the same thing (very similar glucose/fructose ratio compared to white sugar) but it also has vitamins and minerals and shit and has a lower glycemic index
The only reason to eat sugar over fruit that I can think of is that it’s more caloric dense, and is cheaper
