Nah it's more like a Tarantino movie. Action thriller. There's characters who are couples but far from romance. If you like the supernatural horror gore from jjk you'll like that

On a similar note devilman crybaby is good, violent horror also. The animation is expressionistic and weird tho

Soul eater and Tokyo ghoul. Horror genre classics too. Soul eater is more binge length
