I wanted to summarize what I have learned about looksmaxxing and some mistakes I’ve seen people make over the last year along with tips to prevent others from making the same mistakes. For reference, I am a 26 year old Bangladeshi male who is not attractive.
1. Fix whatever failos you the hardest first in order of importance. However, don’t be retarded with it. For example, if you don’t like your nose, but also have a recessed jaw, you should fix your jaw first, and then your nose, since your nose is affected by jaw surgery. However, if you don’t like your eyes for example and it failos you hard, you can do that first, since jaw surgery can take 1-2 years for braces and doesn’t negatively affect your eye area. In summary, focus on what’s most important.
General relative importance of features: Face ratios (long vs. short midface, FWHR, etc) > eye area > lower third > skin > zygos > nose > ears
2. Stay away from implants and fillers if any of your jaws are recessed. Jaw surgery is your best option and then you can use implants to enhance if you want. They will simply look uncanny. Do not make the same mistake facemaxxed did by shelling out huge amounts of cash on Eppley implants only to then look to get jaw surgery. Most of you will never make that amount of money and have to saved in the bank (he has a successful online business, some of you are working minimum wage), so spend your money wisely.
3. If you have large bags under your eyes that have been there for a long time, chances are it’s genetic, and it’s not because of your sleep. If so, the best surgical route is to get orbital rim implants and NOT cheekbone implants which is a mistake many people make. Your cheekbones often look flatter than usual if there’s not enough projection on your orbital rims.
4. When it comes to commonly performed surgeries such as jaw surgery, you do not need to shell out 50k. However, I suggest to find a well reviewed doctor within North America or Europe simply because of generally higher standards of medical care. There are exceptions of course like the supposed god jaw surgeon from India
5. If you’re not white, be very very careful with rhinoplasty. I would almost suggest not to do it unless your nose is very crooked or has a huge bump. When it comes to other feature changes for your nose, just be very careful and know exactly what you want, since it can be tricky and you don’t want to run the risk of a botched surgery. Find a surgeon that specializes in ethnic rhinoplasty. Again though, your nose is less important than your lower third and eyes and some other features.
6. Jaw surgery won’t add much jaw width and jaw height, and is mainly to fix recession. For that, it is often good to supplement it with a genioplasty or an implant later on. You can also use fillers.
Please add misconceptions that you yourself have noticed in this thread
