UVB exposure can double epidermal thickness which is good.
At the same time it can half the dermal thickness which is bad.

This can be used to our advantage, with proper supplementation and skincare you can maintain the dermal thickness and increase epidermal thickness by 50%.

This in fact may be better than every other known treatment alone.

In the study they used 300mg/kg of NMN in mice, which is 0.081*300mg/kg for humans, so 24.3mg/kg and 1.701g for a 70kg human.
Other supplements will have the same effects for sure, some foods as well.

A proper topical skincare is also necessary to avoid wrinkles, peptides and hyaluronic acid are also good.

In theory this alone can significantly reduce periorbital discoloration or pigmentation ( dark circles , under eyes ).
You just need to get a tan under a controled environment.

You should still use suncreen under extreme conditions, but with proper diet and supplements you can be sure you are not inducing damage but improving your skin.

source? afaik the only way uvb rays make your epidermal layer thicker is through sunburning lmao

what was the delivery method and are these dosages safe for humans?

edit: also, what are the protective effects of nmn when it comes to uva damage, if any?

The pic was from the study where they injected nmn the oral one didn't show the graphs for epidermal thickness
what was the delivery method and are these dosages safe for humans?
I noted I was converting from the injected values, from the oral ones it's 30 mg/ml for the animal model
So it's ~100mg of nmn per day for humans, according to the convertion, from the oral supplementation
But again other supplements are know to have protective effects, nmn is not particulary know for it

In humans it has been shown the same effect
UVA or UVB it's about the same protective effect I would think

was it oral nmn?

was it oral nmn?
Injected and also oral, I explained it in above
100mg/day seems low
I would go for 500-1500 g nicotinamide (vitamin b3)
, nmn is just more expensive
Astaxanthin and other carotenoids are known for it's protective effects, 4mg/day should do it

Edit:
100mg-500mg should be enough on a second thought

What exactly is thick skin and how to tell if you have it?
Men have thicker skin, some spots of your face are thinner than others, eye region is thinner, one of the reasons you can see blood vessels and dark spots sometimes, you can't really know unless you have some issue with symptoms, thicker skin can look more manly, tanned skin is probably thicker as well, although there isn't much data on humans to confirm this afaik

Thicker skin is generally more resilient, so yes you can say that.
