Has anyone done research on sun exposure and whether small bursts periodically is safe for the skin whilst still conferring the benefits of increased tan and vitamin d levels etc etc? Surely a few times a week of unprotected exposure at like 6 UV for max 5-10 minutes is safe long term. Or if it isn’t, what level of exposure is going to be safe long term. Is it really 0?

start small amounts of exposure. 10 minutes each side let the skin rest then see how it reacts and increase slightly, fuck anyone who says get spf or whatever never needed that shit and im not aged terribly. only when i got insane sun hurn one summer on my face because i went all in then it was bad, so yeah just start small youll get good benefits

Depends on what you mean by "safe".

As in you won’t look like wrinkled shit in older years from sun damage. I’d rather have a healthy tan all my life but do so with as minimal damage as possible. I’m basically wondering if there’s an equilibrium between having healthy non vampire esque colouring and still maintaining really good skin into older age.

Avoid midday sun, early morning and late evening only.
