Surgeon choice

I have gotten my xrays and been seen by a maxillofacial surgeon and live in the united states. My question is is it worth it / safe going to a local surgeon in the us? i'm mostly worried about the pain, time, and money being wasted on me being underadvanced or botched.

theres databases online to find who is best usually, all top surgeons have clear before and after and usually whole pages dedicated to this helps with choosing

Yeah i guess ill have to research my surgeon more just worried about it tbh

to be fair same i dont have a choice for mine as im via insurance so im just praying but they usually should be good as long as their degree isnt from some third world country

Generally imo America has the best environment for surgical conditions overall. By no means would I go to some random local surgeon though.
