how to go about this? Is it worth getting deviated septum surgery at 16, will it just growback?

Im in Canada too but i dont think you can get free surgeries.

It’s free, I have a referral to an ENT specialist from my doctor who’s going to do the deviated septum surgery, I just want a way to get a nose job out of it for free lol

Yeah it should be worth it at your age, and no it probably won't grow back but there might be a tendency for it to do that. I would only really ask for nose bridge narrowing and to make my nose straight tbh, odds are they won't be doing much more than that anyways but make sure to include pics or else you're gonna end up with a nose you don't like.

most surgeons fuck up nose jobs. be careful. better to save up in the future and go with an expert than to get botched by a shitty public hospital surgeon

I did my whole childhood, I can only breath through 1 nostril most of the time and it’s as good as about half a normal persons nostril - it started working a bit better since I started mouth taping

The govt will pay for it regardless, it’s really bad - I have rlly good insurance for everything except ortho lol

Most people actually breathe through one nostril unintentionally so that shouldn’t be a issue

A surgeon isn't gonna just throw in some free significantly more complicated surgery. They would have to charge the insurance more or whoever is paying for it, and in order to do that they'd have to say they were doing a nose job, and then the insurance will be like "no, we're not paying for that."

In any case, like someone else said, never let some rando do a nose job on you. You always want to go with someone who is a specialist or known for being very very good at rhinoplasty.

Septoplasty is for functional reasons, while a rhino is for cosmetic. In my country insurance only covers septoplasty. I assume it is like that im Canada as well because why should insurance cover cosmetic surgeries?
