In cases of SFS (Short face syndrome) of which there appear to be many kinds there is often a lacking lower third.
In my research on deep-bites the vertical deficiency seems to primarily stem from a mismatch of the occlusion planes (upper and lower jaw), with the lower jaws occlusion plane being upward sloping relative to the upper jaws. Besides this, there can in many cases be an issue with occlusion height due to improper tongue posture (resting on the lower molars) preventing the natural eruption mechanism of the teeth (young age). And finally this can extend further than just a remodeling issue, this can be a growth issue (always is if the deep-bite began in growth stages). By growth issue i mean the mandibles overall size is deficient (smaller Ramus, smaller overall body, smaller chin, smaller vertical height).
Here is a picture showing the difference between my sibling and I. You will notice he has a much larger lower jaw among other things.
My question is what is the blackpilled surgical solution to the issue. The only things I have seen for this are things like extruding the molars which only partially solves the occlusion problem, and I have seen only implants that just look off (you could see from the lips)
