Does it seem right that removal of impacted wisdom teeth would require a new CT scan afterwards for jaw surgery?

I have the opportunity to have the scan now but I have impacted wisdom teeth extraction in one month. After that I’d have to wait some months for swelling etc to subside. And I’m already so fucking old.

Should I scan now?
Cancel scan and rebook after wisdom teeth removal? How long after?

He said I have to get new CT scan but I’m too old to wait another 6 months for this shit. Want to start ortho NOW.

Wow, we have very similar timelines. I literally have the same question for now

All my googling says slight shifts in the teeth position are possible but the jaw bone will not change shape.

The only complication I can think of is the extractions are brutal (surgical butchery to remove the teeth) there may be some lasting damage the jaw bone where it would not be appropriate to put fixation screws for plates or that it could affect the BSSO “split” (although I thought they used a tiny piezoelectric saw to cut the split not fracturing it randomly)…
