The real world isn't some zombie apocalypse movie where you have a small number of people somewhat making it on their own while everybody else dies horribly. What would actually happen is that people would find out that you have food/fuel/whatever, and then everybody would turn on you and rob you. And no, guns won't save you.

In fact, NOTHING would save you. Even if you literally had a bunker in your backyard people would learn of it at some point and then find some way to dig down there. The only people likely to survive are billionaires that have secret bunkers somewhere that nobody even knows about. And even they aren't 100% save.

The "collapse" is highly, highly unlikely to be anything like is portrayed in the movies. It is much more likely to be what is happening in Venezuela, but on a multi national level. Venezuela is how the end will be. Short of an asteroid decimating half the earth or more, there will not be a mass die off of the human species.
