I've read that it's around 1 year

it can but the swelling would be so minor that it wouldn't matter. same with rhino. initial swelling goes down first couple of months and then little residual swelling for like a year or sometimes longer.

Yeah if you do have swelling from jaw or rhino you can just get a steroid injection and it dissolves scar tissue and eliminates swelling pretty fast from what I’ve seen.

I had noticeable swelling at 5-6 months.

Even at 8 months i still have swelling on my lower cheeks.

You can see the progression of my swelling in my videos that I uploaded 4 months, 5 months, 8 months.

It honestly takes a good year for it to fully go down.

wow I didn't know that. then maybe that can be a last resort if you have a lot of swelling after a proper amount of time. nicee.

If this is the case, how come it is not performed post operation as standard? @Gaia262 did you know about this brah?

It’s standard in rhino. Idk maybe not always suitable in jaw surgery but I’ve heard cases of it.

Yeah I also have some weird fullness in my lower cheeks that I didn't have before, makes face look a bit puffy in pictures stil, I'm currently 5 months post bimax and cheek implants. Notice it mostly in the 3/4 profile

I've also lost 10kg in body weight since bimax
