I just went swimming today in our local swimming pool all confident because I have been kickboxing for 2 years and going to the gym and shit. After the first 2 laps I was almost dead man how the fuck is swimming this fucking hard. Altogether I swam 600meters in about 40 minutes with long ass breaks and after that my body is just aching fully. Mirin every swimmer boyo cuz that shit's fucking hard

Its great burns a lot but man it's really hard. I felt like I was tortured in those last few laps. Would recommend but never felt this tired from a sport

The great thing abt it though is that it's quite fun especially compared to other forms of cardio, especially when done as zone 2 cardio. At least for me it is

It's fun but it's much harder than every other form of cardio. I can run 15km's without a break but can't swim 3 25meter laps without a break:feelsbadman:

Mirin cardio level, need to get back into running. When I was doing martial arts I could run a 10k relatively easily but 15k without a break is crazy.

You have to be really careful with breathing underwater and not swallowing all the water too, I'm still getting accustomed to controlling my movements, my speed and my breathing altogether

I can run a lot because of kickboxing. But I usually don't run anymore because it spikes up cortisol for me and strains my joints. That's why I wanted to start swimming maybe that wouldn't murder my knee as much. But swimming is just a killer thing man my back and legs are still aching

I learned swimming when I was a child but I forgot almost all of it. I still know the really basics but usually swallow a lot of water. Im hoping to improve tho.

Yeah I think the heavier you are the worse running is long term for you. Hell there are even fighters like Kamaru Usman who probably weighs like 190 pounds when not fighting that have knee problems.
I think the only people who can tolerate long distance running long term are either: relatively low bodyweight, genetically adapted for it or on drugs.

Im 75kg rn maybe that's why it kills my joints. When I was 54kg's I would run half marathons but rn every time I run it ends with joint pain. So I actually agree, you're right on this. Im sad for Kamaru Usman tho he was a killer as a fighter but his knee ruined his career:feelsbadman:

Damn, sorry to hear man. You should stick to swimming then, if you are not doing it already jump rope is also a good and fun form of cardio and high volume kettlebell swings also have good roi

Swimming is very easy.

This is pretty weak from you.
