T-minus 2 minutes is bullshit

Whenever i see a villain in a movie about to release some fucking freak toxin to infect the whole city the machine always has a countdown but why? I get its to give superhero time to stop it but like technology is fucking instant as soon as the villain activates the thingamajig to release the toxin it should do it INSTANTLY thats how machines work they dont give you a fucking cooldown wtv im jsut hyper fixated on this i just watched the amazing spiderman
